Official sources claim crop loans to the tune of Rs 196 crore have so far been disbursed to over 64,000 farmers in Chhatisgarh during ongoing Rabi season, said Ashok Bajaj, Chairman of Apex Bank in a mail sent to Indian Cooperative.
Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank (APEX Bank) will disburse Rs 600 crore interest-free short-term agriculture loans during the season through its primary agriculture cooperative societies, said Chairman Chhattisgarh State Co-Operative Bank.
A loan of Rs 72 lakh was given to 28 farmers in four districts of Bilaspur division and about Rs 19.35 crore to 4,385 farmers in seven districts of Bastar division, he added.
