Hindu reports AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated 12 mobile ATMs of the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (APCOB) for dispensing cash in remote areas.
These small machines would not only promote financial literacy among villagers but also help them carry out basic banking.
Sources say Nabard has financially helped the cooperative bank in procuring these machines.
Ministers K. Kala Venkata Rao, NABARD Chief General Manager K. Suresh Kumar and general manager K.S. Raghupathi and A.P. State Warehousing Corporation chairman L.V.S.R.K. Prasad were present when ATMs were inaugurated.
