AP police say an inter-state gang of criminals has been at work committing a rash of burglaries in cooperative banks in the state. The criminals have stolen 13 kg gold and Rs 13 lakh in cash.
According to the police, all the cooperative banks burgled had no security guards.
The criminals have used the simple technique of using gas cutters to slice open bank safes and taking away CCTV cameras denying the police leads for investigation.
Sources say police have discovered leads that may help them track the burglars down.
