A.P.Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank, Hyderabad has bagged Award for the “Best Youth Customer Engagement” award given by the Banking Frontiers, Indian’s first publication of its kind on Banking Technology and Business at a function held in New Delhi last week. The award was received by Umesh Chand Asawa, Managing Director of the bank.
The selection of Mahesh Bank for this award was based on various tehno-enabled initiatives and services introduced by the bank during the year. The bank was selected under the category of Large Co-operative Banks.
Purshotamdas Mandhana, Chairman of the bank expressed happiness on getting this award and said Mahesh Bank is continuously getting such awards for the past five years on different parameters. He further said Mahesh Bank is the first co-operative urban bank in the cooperative sector in South India that is extending tech-savvy services to its customers on a par with the private sector banks.
Managing Director of the Bank Umesh Chand Asawa said presently the bank is functioning with a network of 42 branches covering four States viz., Telangana, Andhra, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The RBI has permitted the bank to extend its network to Gujarat State as well.
