AP Special Commissioner for Cooperative Societies said the state government will computerize all the 2050 cooperative societies in three phases within a year in Eluru district, reports Hans India.
The commissioner was taking part in the awareness meeting on ‘Computerization of Cooperative Societies’ held by the Eluru District Cooperative Central Bank. The commissioner also revealed on the occasion that Rs 3 lakh would be spent computerizing each society in the state.
The Centre would bear 60 per cent of the cost and the state would spend 35 per cent, the remaining five per cent money would be given by the society or bank or from the NABARD funds.
