J&K High Court has ordered that Anuradha Gupta shall not act as Chairperson Board of Administrators, Jammu Central Cooperative (JCC) Bank, Jammu, reports a J&K media outlet.
The court order came in petition filed by Mallaha Parote , Multi Purpose Cooperative Society , seeking direction to restrain Anuradha Gupta from holding the office of the Chairperson, Board of Administrators, as also other members of the Board of JCC Bank Jammu.
The petition says the absence of electoral process to elect new-office bearers of JCC Bank has brought nepotism, corruption and red-tapism in the bank structure and has throttled the entire system.
The petition adds Anuradha Gupta was appointed only with an assignment to conduct the elections to the Board of Directors and and thus, cannot be allowed to continue in the office of the Chairperson of the Board of Administrators, as this will tantamount to violation of the Rules.
