The ‘ad war’ has begun raging full blast between Hindustan Liver and Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) with the former launching a new film underscoring the use of milk in its products, reports Mint.
This is said to be a reaction to the Amul ad claiming frozen desserts contain hydrogenated vegetable oil. However, per the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, ice-creams made with vegetable fat other than milk fat are frozen desserts.
Though it is not confirmed a source said GCMMF may approach the Bombay High Court against Hindustan Unilever’s new advertisement.
