The largest dairy cooperative of India GCMMF, which sells its product under Amul brand has become the only Indian brand to feature in the latest study of top 100 global mega brands, reports TOI. Amul has brought laurels and has made India proud, say cooperators across the board.
Amul is ranked at 73rd position in 100 global mega brands released by Euro monitor-International, a UK-headquartered global market research firm. Amul’s turnover is currently US $ 6 billion while brand value is pegged at US $ 18 billion.
Amul has emerged as one of the top ten milk processors in the world. It has improved its position as it was ranked as ninth largest milk processor globally in 2018.
