Delhi High Court has asked Google and Facebook to respond to a plea moved by GCMMF seeking removal of certain videos alleging that those were cruel to cows, reports PTI.
The Gujarat dairy giant has sought the removal of the video from YouTube and Facebook without delay. The cooperative has said the person who has uploaded the controversial video is tarnishing its image.
The court has asked the person who uploaded the video to explain how GCMMF and its members were indulging in cruelty to cows and why Amul’s mascot was used in the video.
The next hearing in the matter will take place on 15th January next year.
