GCMMF MD R.S. Sodhi has said the milk cooperative would invest Rs. 4000-4,500 crore in the next few years to effect an uptick in its milk processing capacity.
Presently, the GCMMF processes 230 lakh litres a day , said Mr Sodhi.
According to Sodhi ,the company’s expansion plan involves setting up about a dozen of new milk processing units across the country.
The possible locations for the new plants are Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh , Haryana and West Bengal, informed the GCMMF MD.
