GCMMF will soon set up a dairy plant near Rajkot to exclusively cater to the needs of the Saurashtra region. The new plant will cost Rs 125 crore, reports DNA.
GCMMF has requested the Gujarat government to provide funds and land.
The new plant will process 30 lakh liter milk every day.
Nearly 14 co-operative milk producing societies are operating in the Saurashtra region but they do not have the facility of processing milk.
