The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation known as Amul recently hiked the rates of milk by Rs 2 per litre amid the high demand in the festival season, according to media reports.
The price of 1 litre-full cream milk has raised to Rs 63 per litre from Rs 61.
It is the third hike in the milk prices this year. However, the prices have not been raised in the state of Gujarat. Mother Dairy also follows suit and hikes its milk prices.
