Following the recent decision at the Balaji Temple to use Nandini Ghee for Prasadam after a controversy, another prominent dairy cooperative, Amul, has been selected to supply ghee for the preparation of Prasad at the revered Baba Vishwanath Temple.
In a media statement, officials from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust explained that Amul Ghee meets all the scriptural requirements for making the sacred Prasad. As a result, starting from this year’s Vijayadashami, the temple will officially use Amul Ghee for Prasad preparation.
This decision highlights the unwavering faith that devotees place in cooperative products.
First, it was Nandini from Karnataka, and now, Amul from Gujarat, both trusted cooperatives, have stepped up to honour and maintain the sacred traditions, ensuring the continued trust of the devotees.
