GCMMF has set up a retail store and a restaurant in a sprawling space at Anand, reports Business Standard. GCMMF MD R S Sodhi said the store could later sell pulses, spices and other necessaries under the Amul Green brand.
The eatery would offer instant food items such as burgers and patties, he added.
Sources are quoted claiming store and eatery would have a combined turnover of Rs 8 lakh daily.
Amul is now ranked as the world’s 13th largest dairy organization, according to data released by the International Farm Comparison Network.
Amul has also been listed India’s most attractive food and beverage (F&B) brand out of 156 brands in the super category in the “Attractiveness — India’s Most Attractive Brands Report” by TRA.
