AP govt has signed an MoU with dairy major Amul to boost women entrepreneurs and dairy farmers of the state. The MoU was signed by Special Chief Secretary of AP and Chennai Zonal Head of Amul on Tuesday.
AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy earlier held a meeting with his officials prior to signing the MoU with cooperative giant. The chief minister said the agreement to be signed will bring about a huge change in the dairy sector especially helping women groups.
The new initiative will not only ensure remunerative prices for farmers but also enable them to access the latest technology. Sources say Amul’s entry will also ensure supply of quality products for the consumers.
