India’s leading milk cooperative Amul has taken the help of the renowned IT company SAP to end the digital divide in Anand, Gujarat and start a Digital Literacy Program for Rural Bharat, media reports say.
Amul has been using the latest technology and digitizing all its operations including milk plants and processes.
Underlining its commitment to the idea of continuous technological advancement, Amul has linked 2,000 of its cows with Fitbit devices so that the health and other parameters of the cows and buffaloes are observed on a real-time basis.
Amul is said to be 100% paperless across its plants located in various parts of India.
