Amul has been crowned the world’s strongest food brand in the 2024 Brand Finance Global Food & Drinks Report, marking a significant achievement for the Indian dairy giant.
With an exceptional Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 91 out of 100 and an AAA+ rating, Amul’s brand value increased by 11% from 2023, reaching $3.3 billion.
The company’s robust presence in India’s dairy market, where it controls 75% of the milk market, 85% of the butter market, and 66% of the cheese market, underscores its dominant position.
Ajimon Francis, managing director at Brand Finance India, credited Amul’s disciplined brand strategy and effective consumer engagement for this milestone. Amul’s achievements reflect years of consistent effort in brand building, ensuring strong business outcomes like revenue growth and customer loyalty.
The company now shares its prestigious AAA+ rating with global giant Hershey’s, signaling Amul’s rising influence on the world stage. As the food and beverage sector faces challenges, Amul’s adaptability and innovation continue to set it apart.
