Amul Director Chauhan switches sides

According to media reports, Amul director and veteran leader Juvansinh Chauhan has re-joined his old party Congress, citing BJP interference in Amul affairs as the reason behind his decision to quit.

It is worth mentioning that the BJP deployed its majority power in Amul and elected Vipul Patel and former Congress MLA Kanti Sodha Parmar as chairman and vice-chairman of the dairy, respectively at the time of Chauhan joining the BJP.

Chauhan is a two-term Amul director and was among the four Congress directors who had defected to the BJP in February and within three days, the BJP got elected its nominees to head Amul.
