The Chairman of Almora District Cooperative Bank last week took stock of the situation of the bank’s branches located in rural areas. Latwal inspected branches and committees at Dwarahat, Masi, Chaukhutia.
He said that cooperative banks and societies are continuously working among the general public. The government wants to make cooperatives a major means of employment, so that the poor, youth and farmers can get employment easily.
Latwal also participated in a women’s awareness program in Dwarahat. He said that loans up to five lakh rupees are being made available to women groups without interest.
