AGM of Kota based co-op on Sunday; Birla Chief Guest

The Annual General Meeting of Kota (Rajasthan) based Shri Hitkari Vidyalaya Sahakari Shiksha Samiti was held on Sunday at Maheshwari Bhavan in which Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was the Chief Guest.

The meeting was presided over by the Minister of State for Energy Hiralal Nagar.

In his address, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla lauded the contributions of Hitkari Vidyalaya Cooperative Education Committee. He paid tribute to the founder president, Shambhu Dayal Saxena, and highlighted the Samiti’s role in illuminating the lives of the working class through education.

Speaker Birla urged the Samiti to continue supporting the education of underprivileged and poor children, filling their lives with new opportunities.

Kota Nagarik Sahakari Bank Chairman Rajesh BIrla the membership has grown from 2,000 in 1991 to 8,160 members. The share capital, which was merely Rs 12.12 lakh, has surged to Rs 330.94 lakh as of March 2024.

The Samiti’s deposits have increased from Rs 34.56 lakh to Rs 11,912.20 lakh, and its funds have grown from Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 829.99 lakh.
