After a scam broke in Adarsh Credit Cooperative Society, Rajasthan Registrar of Cooperative Societies Neeraj K Pawan called for investigation of all the credit cooperative societies in the state, a news outlet has reported.
It is being said strict action will be taken against the credit cooperatives that will be found involved in irregularities during the investigation.
Pawan was addressing Zonal registrars, Sub registrars, and Urban and Credit Cooperative Societies of the state through video conferencing on Wednesday. He directed registrars to closely monitor all the matters related to urban and credit cooperative societies.
He also instructed registrars to make a list of Urban and credit cooperative societies working in each district, to inspect them and to take action if found indulging in irregularities under the cooperative Act. He exhorted them to act strictly without hesitation.
The detailed report of all the cases should be sent to the cooperative department soon. He urged public to invest their money in these societies.
During the video conferencing, the senior officials of the department were present.
It is worth mentioning that Rs 700 core of Jodhpur investors have been stuck in Adarsh Credit Cooperative Society. Investors are keep on knocking the societies door but so far nothing has been done.
