Maharashtra-based Osmanabad District Central Cooperative Bank recorded 98% voter turnouts in an election held on Sunday last week. The elections were held for 10 seats and 22 candidates were in the fray.
For 10 seats, 808 voters were eligible to cast their votes and 798 voters came to cast the votes. Now, the counting will start today and the results will be announced on the same day.
The board consists of 15 elected directors out of which five have been elected unopposed.
Those who got elected unopposed include former MLA Dnyaneshwar Raosaheb Patil from Shiv Sena, Ex-MLA Rahul Mote brother Madhukar Mote, Ex-Minister Basavaraj Patil brother Bapu Rao Patil, MLA Tanaji Saheb nephew Vikram Sawant, and former Maharashtra Minister Madhukarrao Chavan’s son Sunil Chavan.
