During the last three calendar years i.e. 2020, 2021 & upto November 2022, total 87 Multi State Cooperative Societies have been registered under Multi State Cooperative Societies Act, 2022, said Union Home & Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.

He was replying to a query raised by the Rajya Sabha Member C M Ramesh.

Shah further added that, “Multi State Cooperative Societies work in the interest of their members in line with Cooperative principles viz. Voluntary and Open Membership, Democratic Member Control, Members’ Economic Participation, Autonomy and Independence, Education, Training, and Information, Cooperation Among Cooperatives and Concern for Community”.

“The Multi State Cooperative Societies are monitored as per the provisions of the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 (MSCS Act, 2002)”, he added.
