The year 2015 has been a successful year for J&K cooperative bank with a business of Rs. 83,250 lakh. The performance has helped the bank improve its category from C to B. Greater Kashmir reports the bank has also overachieved CRAR goal as stipulated by the RBI in the last year.
The report says, meanwhile the bank has technologically leveled with other banks in the country.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary, B R Sharma has said the Union Government has included three District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) in Jammu and Kashmir in the scheme for revival of 23 unlicensed DCCBs.
These banks are Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank and Anantnag Central Cooperative Bank.
Speaking before the J&K Co-op Bank’s AGM chairman M.S.Dar said the bank is performing yeoman service as one of the leading institutions in the state, he remarked.
Officials from the cooperative dept and Nabard attended the meeting.
