Around 1000 posts are vacant in the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), informed Union Minister of State for finance Bhagwat Karad. He was replying to a query raised by the Lok Sabha members.
“The total number of vacant posts of whole-time directors and other employees are 1013. The Group A, Group B and Group C category vacant posts are 514, 174 and 323 respectively. These vacancies arose from time to time due to various reasons such as superannuation, resignation, voluntary retirement, etc”, Karad informed.
He further added, the tenure of Dr. G R Chintala as Chairman ended on 31 July, 2022 on account of his superannuation. Suchindra Misra, Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance was given the additional charge of the post of Chairman, NABARD after his retirement. Shaji K V has taken over the charge of Chairman, NABARD w.e.f. 07 December, 2022”
