The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has successfully formed 1,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), many of which are delivering impressive results. One such example is the Dharmapur Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), which recently launched sugar-controlled blended flour for sale, marking another step towards promoting healthier food alternatives.
The launch took place at NCDC’s headquarters in Hauz Khas, Delhi, with NCDC Deputy Director Rohit Gupta initiating the sale.
The event saw the presence of prominent figures, including senior scientist Dr. Mohit Bhardwaj, FPO Secretary Bhupinder Singh Charabra, and several women members of the FPO Processing Center, along with Prabhari Sarojini Bidh.
According to FPO Chairman Satpal Singh and Secretary Bhupinder Singh, this specially formulated flour incorporates millets like ragi and other grains, making it a healthier choice, particularly for diabetic patients.
The product has been developed at a processing center set up under NCDC’s guidance.
FPO Dharmapur has previously introduced agricultural products through the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED). This latest launch of sugar-controlled blended flour is yet another milestone in its journey towards providing nutritious and innovative food solutions.
