Inaugurating recently the Pune branch of Shree Ravalnath Cooperative Housing Finance Society, B.L.Verma Union Minister of state for Cooperation lauded the cooperative sector for keeping the common man, farmers and employees in the center of things. The minister put multiple changes taking place in the sector down to the vision and efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah.
Many distinguished people including the member of the National Human Rights commission and former secretary of the Ministry of External affairs Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mulay were present.
State Cooperative Minister Anil Kawade, former Commissioner and Director of Cooperatives and Marketing Department Dinesh Owlkar. Director Reserve Bank Satish Marathe were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said various cooperative schemes, policy of providing a solid house to everyone and the decisions taken through cooperatives for farmers, working class are proving useful.
“Cooperative societies like Shree Ravalnath are contributing to the economic empowerment of the common people”, the minister noted.
The Shree Ravalnath Housing Finance Society was established in 1996 at Ajara in Kolhapur district to fulfil the ‘dream house’ of middle class families. The organisation started with 18 members and 10 thousand share capital. Today it has more than 10 thousand members and a business of 641 crores.
While M. L. Chougule briefed about the progress of the institution, the CEO D.K.Maydeo moved a vote of thanks.
