The Tiruchi District Central Co-operative Bank has earned a net profit of Rs 7.50 crore during 2009-10, G Rajendraprasad, Special officer of the bank said.
Addressing the bank’s 101th Annual General Meeting, he said the bank had received an award from the Government for granting maximum loan to women Self Help Groups. The bank had been performing well as deposits and had Rs 909 crore as deposits, while advances were Rs 1291 crore.
It had invested Rs 308.92 crore of its deposits and also provided loans to 552 Primary agricultural cooperative banks out of 987 PACBs attached to it. He said the bank had continuously bagged awards from 2007-08 to 2009-10 for providing maxmium loans to differently abled.
The PACBs at Tirupanjeeli, Perakambi , Manchanallur, under the control of the bank,had achieved 100 per cent farm loan recovery, a bank press release said.
