Subhash Deshmukh, Minister of Co-operation, Marketing & Textile, Government of Maharashtra visited Cosmos Tower, Cosmos Bank’s state-of-the-art Corporate Office on University Road, Pune last week and complemented it for showcasing professionalism thereby setting a benchmark for other co-operative banks and credit societies to follow.
Deshmukh said the Cosmos Co-operative Bank has stood the test of times in last 110 years and has built a legacy for itself. He specifically mentioned that right from the Founders all Chairmen and Directors till date led the Bank dedicatedly.
He said that while developing our own organisation, we should also lend a helping hand to smaller organisations and poor people. This will enable the last constituent of the society to stand on their own feet.
Deshmukh said the Bank should also think about the possibility of opening a separate branch for poor and needy people and lending the loans without interest and other facilities. Each branch of the Bank should take up a social cause so that the gap between the rich and poor is narrowed, he added.
Cosmos Bank Vice-Chairman, Madhukar Atre welcomed the Minister Mr. Deshmukh by felicitating him with a bouquet. Senior Director Krishnakumar Goyal shared the information about the Bank.
Cosmos Bank’s Group Chairman, Dr. Mukund Abhyankar, Directors Adv. Shripad Panchpor, Adv. Pralhad Kokare, Govind Kshirsagar, Executives and staff were present on this occasion.
