Kumar visits MSC Bank headquarters with NCDC’s MD

Union Cooperative Secretary Gyanesh Kumar visited the Mumbai based headquarters of Maharashtra State Cooperative (MSC) Bank on Friday.

National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Managing Director Pankaj Bansal, among others, accompanied him.

While welcoming them, MSC Bank Administrative board Chairman Vidyadhar Anaskar apprised of the working style of the bank and its progress in the last five financial years.

“It was a fruitful meeting. The discussion was also held on computerisation of PACS of the state. As there are around 21k PACs in the state out of which about 16k audits have been already done”, said Anaskar soon after the meeting.

The bank senior officials led by its Managing Director Ajit Deshmukh and others were also present.

Readers would recall that recently Union Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad and Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Atul Save also visited the bank’s headquarters.

MSC Bank has achieved a total business of more than Rs 47k crore in the 2021-2022 financial year and earned a net profit of Rs 602 crore with ‘Zero’ percent net NPA.

There are 31 district central cooperative banks in Maharashtra, having a network of 3667 branches. The total numbers of PACS are 21,214.
