HP State Cooperative Bank writes cheque for CM Fund

Premier leading Cooperative Bank of the State, The HP State Cooperative Bank Limited contributed Rs. 31 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and a cheque to the effect was presented to Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister by Shri Chander Mohan Thakur, Chairman, Shri Amit Kashyap, Managing Director and Members of the Board of Directors in Shimla on Wednesday.

Chief Minister thanked the Management for this contribution, which would go a long way in helping the poor and needy in their hour of distress. He said that contribution made to Chief Minister Relief Fund by the people and various organizations had been instrumental in saving many precious lives. He appealed to the people to contribute generously towards this Fund so that more needy people could be helped.

Prof. Dhumal congratulated the Management of the Bank for emerging the First fully computerized Web Based Core Banking Solution (CBS) Bank in the country as all its 189 branches and extension counters had been equipped with latest computer system, 21 ATMs installed to match the global banking demands of the customers. He also appreciated the plan of the Bank to install 50 more ATMs in different towns and branches to provide best of the services to the customers.

Shri Chander Mohan Thkaur, Chairman, State Cooperative Bank said that the State had earned a gross profit of Rs. 82.49 crore in previous financial year 2010-11, which was Rs. 16.59 crore, more than the previous year i.e. 2009-10.

Shri Amit Kashyap, Managing Director, thanked the Chief Minister for his patronage to the Bank and the guidance provided from time to time to improve the functioning further.
