Pune District Urban Cooperative Banks’ Association-the apex body of Pune UCBs is organizing a one day seminar on “Cyber Security & Solution on Saturday at Hotel Sheraton Grand, Pune. The function will be inaugurated by Maharashtra’s cooperative minister Subhashrao Deshmukh.
Besides Deshmukh, Maharashtra cooperative commissioner Satish Saini, office bearers and CEOs of different UCBs of Pune and nearby districts will be attending the seminar, claims the Association.
Giving details of the event Adv. Subhash Mohite, Chairman of the Pune District Urban Cooperative Banks’ Association said, “There are about 52 urban cooperative banks which have their headquarters located in Pune. Besides, there are about 49 branches of several UCBs headquartered in areas outside Pune.
“They all will be participating and we hope to have more than 250 delegates in the seminar”, Mohite said. Cyber security has become a major concern for all of us, he stressed.
“ The seminar is divided into four sessions. Each session would take up one aspect related to cyber security. There will be panel discussion between the experts and the representatives of UCBs”, Mohite added.
The objective is to create the awareness about how to tackle with the problem of cyber security and to train them among others.
Readers would recall that hackers managed to siphon off over Rs 94 crore through a malware attack on the server of Pune headquartered Cosmos Bank recently. This and other similar incidents have rattled the sector no end.
Vidyadhar Anaskar, one of the popular cooperators of Pune, would however, not attend the event due to his preoccupations.
