Cooperative Banks should adopt the latest technology and ideas to modernize themselves so that they could compete with commercial banks, said Uttarakhand Minister Navprabhat while addressing the 75th AGM of Dehradun District Cooperative Bank recently in Dehradun.
Bank Chairman Dr K S Rana informed the AGM that the bank earned a net profit of Rs 7 core in the last fiscal.
Apart from this, we have provided various facilities to our depositors and we soon intend establishing Electronic Lobby in our bank, so that customers can do their banking transactions without any hassle, Rana said.
On the issue of branch expansion, he said the bank will open branches in Raivala, Nayagaon in the coming days. The bank has established ATM facilities in 13 branches and will also provide ATM facilities at several important locations at Dehradhun.
Addressing the meeting, UCF Chairman Pramod Kumar Singh highlighted the progress of the cooperative sector in the state and claimed that soon it will play an important role in the economy.
The AGM was attended by Vice Chairman Ram Singh Maurya, Director Manvendra Singh and several bank officials.
