Prominent Indian Cricket Player, Ajinkya Rahane paid a courtesy visit to Cosmos Bank’s Corporate Office in Pune Cosmos Tower last week. During this visit he gifted a bat with his best wishes and autograph on it. Well-known sports journalist, Sunandan Lele was present on this occasion.
Cosmos Bank Chairman, Krishnakumar Goyal and Vice-Chairman, Madhukar Atre welcomed Ajinkya Rahane. On this occasion, Directors of the Board, Joint Managing Director – Suhas Gokhale and other senior executives and staff were present. Ajinkya Rahane is the valued customer of Cosmos Bank’s Mulund- Mumbai Branch. He is associated with Cosmos Bank for many years.
Ajinkya Rahane had an informal conversation and very sportingly answered questions asked by Directors of the Board, Senior Executives and staff at Cosmos Tower during this visit. When asked about the bad-patch in the career of cricketers, he said that it totally depends on the mental set-up of the person. He personally takes the bad phase as a learning experience and a challenge to better himself.
He said IPL has given chance to many worthy Indian cricketers to play on international platform which improves their game. He said that cricketers while playing, give utmost importance to their team and thus their country.
On asking about people comparing him to Rahul Dravid, he stated that he is still a novice compared to Rahul and hence such comparison is not right. He also said he holds Rahul Dravid in the highest esteem. Rahul is great on the field as well as outside the field. Ajinkya too would like to be remembered not just as a good cricketer but also as a good human being like Rahul Dravid.
