The Board Meeting of the Cosmos Co-operative Bank held Thursday unanimously elected Govind Kisharsagar as the Vice-Chairman. Kshirsagar has been on the Directors’ Board of the Bank since 1994.
He was Vice-Chairman of the Pune based UCB in the year 1996-97 and again in 2004-05. Presently, Kshirsagar was elected to the post of the Vice-Chairman which fell vacant after the sudden demise of senior director & Vice Chairman. Madhukar Atre, informed Chairman CA Milind Kale.
Kshirsagar had also been chairman of ‘the Journalist & Non-journalist’s Association’ of “Daily Sakal” for 30 consecutive years. He was Chairman of Maharashtra Newspaper Trade Union & has worked as Vice-Chairman of All India Newspaper Employees Union.
He was Chairman of the Sakal Press Employees Credit Society for very long time. He has received Maharashtra State’s – “Shramagaurav” award, and the “Shramabhushan” award. Pune Municipal Corporation has honored him for excellent work in the city’s progress & his important role in creating awareness about blood donation and arranging blood donation camps, read a press release sent by the UCB.
He was the Chairman of an organization – “Susanwad” which worked mainly in the field of Art & Civilization, read the press release.
