The Cosmos Co-operative Bank celebrated its 110th Anniversary last week with various social activities. Cosmos Bank Group Chairman Dr. Mukund Abhyankar, Chairman Milind Kale, Vice Chairman – MadhukarAtre, all Directors of the Board, Officers and staff along with customers, members were present on this occasion.
On the occasion of ‘Road Safety Week’ Cosmos Bank arranged ‘Cosmos Rally wherein the pillion riders were carrying placards depicting Road Safety, Save Water, Save Electricity, Save Environment, Save Girl Child etc.The Rally started from Cosmos Heights, ShaniwarPeth, the earlier Head Office of Cosmos Bank.
Two wheelers from 35 Pune branches of Cosmos Bank were part of the ‘Cosmos Rally’. ‘Cosmos Rally’ was flagged off by Cosmos Bank’s Directors, Dr. Smita Jog,Rajeev Sabade, and GovindKshirsagar. The ‘Cosmos Rally’ reached Cosmos Tower, Cosmos Bank’s corporate office on University Road where it was welcomed by DCP – Traffic, Sarang Awad. On this occasion, DCP Sarang Awad said that along with smart banking, for making Pune a smart city all should imbibe in them discipline for traffic. He reinforced the importance of self-discipline in traffic not just for us but for the next generation who will be walking as pedestrians or driving vehicles in the near future.
Nana Patekar, renowned actor and founder of ‘Nam Foundation’ graced the 110th Anniversary function of Cosmos Bank with his presence. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Cosmos Bank and its staff donated an amount of Rs. Five Lac Fifty One Thousand to Nana Patekar’s‘Nam Foundation’. While receiving the cheque, Nana Patekar informed about the various activities undertaken by ‘Nam Foundation’.
He said that each and every one should try to ease the sorrow that farmers are facing due to the drought situation. Cosmos Bank’s Chairman Kale said that the amount donated by Bank and staff is a small contribution made by the Bank. Chairman Kale also stated that bank will be actively involved in the activities of ‘Nam Foundation’ in future too.
On the occasion of its 110th Anniversary, Cosmos Bank also donated amount of Rs. Two lac for renovation of Patrakar Bhavan. Chairman Kale handed over the cheque of Rs. Two lac to Jitendra Ashtekar – Chairman, Patrakar Sangh and Umesh Ghongade – Chairman, PatrakarPratisthan. Also, for empowering women under Financial Inclusion, Chairman – Milind Kale handed over loan sanction letters of more than Rs. Six lacs to three self-help groups from Pune
The new corporate film of Cosmos Bank was launched at the auspicious hands of Chairman – CA Milind Kale. Rangoli competition amongst Pune branches was organized on this occasion where innovative rangolis on smart banking, landscape, portraits etc were drawn by staff winning prizes too. To welcome guests, staff wore traditional attire representing the 7 states in which Cosmos Bank has branches.
All the Directors of the Board, Managing Director, and Jt. Managing Director, various dignitaries, customers, members, officers and staff were present for the Tilgul function and get-together organized on the 110th Anniversary of Cosmos Bank.
