The women working in the Cosmos Co-operative Bank celebrated International Women’s Day enthusiastically on Sunday at Cosmos Tower, Head Office of Cosmos Bank. The program started with the lighting of the lamp by Chairman CA Milind Kale and other Directors of the Bank.
Greeting the ladies on the occasion, Kale said women have always played an important role in the progress of Cosmos Bank and their achievements are worthy of praise. He pointed out that two women have been elected to the newly elected Board of Directors.
Managing Director, Suhas Gokhale also greeted women staff members of the bank on the occasion.
During this program, interviews of successful women entrepreneurs, viz. Padmini Gadgil, Preeti Kudal, Surekha Lawande, Dr. Akshaya Jain, Snehlata Chhatre, Anjali Deshmukh, Shubhangi Deshpande, Dr. Pallavi Kaluskar, Ashwini Mujumdar, Kanchan Dhamale and Manali Deo were conducted by Manisha Sabnis and Neelam Bende.
They shared their success stories and experiences while setting up and running their respective businesses. They said inner beauty is more important than looks.
“Transformation in personality gives more confidence. Women are a constant source of energy and should keep continuity in their efforts and keep gaining knowledge”, said the speakers on the occasion.
They also stressed the importance of time management in day to day work. It is also necessary to keep fit and healthy with exercises or yoga and also pursue hobbies.
Various competitions and entertainment programs were conducted during this event.
Women Directors Prof. Rajaishwari Dhotre and Adv. Anuradha Gadale took an active role in planning the Women’s Day.
Cosmos Bank’s Group Chairman-Dr. Mukund Abhyankar, Chairman-CA Milind Kale, Vice Chairman-Adv. Pralhad Kokare, Directors-Sachin Apte, Prof. Rajaishwari Dhotre, CA Jayant Barve, CA Praveenkumar Gandhi, Prof. Nandkumar Kakirde, Adv. Anuradha Gadale, Ajit Gijare, Arvind Tavare and Managing Director-Suhas Gokhale were present during the event.
