Himanchal Pradesh Prinicipal Secretary (Finance) Shrikant Baldi has said all cooperative banks in the state would participate in National Rural Livelihood Mission helping women self help groups (SHGs) with subsidized and low interest loans on the pattern of commercial banks.
He said the banks have shown a laudable performance disbursing Rs. 9,265 crore for various activities in 2013. He was addressing a bankers’ meeting.
According to Baldi, there are nearly two thousand branches of the banks equipped with high technology across the state. He urged the bankers to put in their maximum efforts for the welfare of farmers.
