The Cosmos Co-operative Bank has received the coveted ‘ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence Award 2015’ for social exposure in urban banking informed Cosmos Bank’s chairman Milind Kale on the occasion of 11th Annual Banking Summit-Cum-Social Banking Excellence Awards 2015 event.
The ASSOCHAM Social Banking Excellence Award 2015 was received by Chairman Kale at the hands of Jayant Sinha, MoS for Finance at a function in Mumbai. Cosmos Bank was selected for this award in the category of co-operative banks, regional rural banks (RRBs) and local area banks (LABs).
The Award was bestowed on Cosmos Bank amongst 82 entries. The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is one of the apex trade associations of India. The organisation represents the interests of trade and commerce in India, and acts as an interface between industry, government and other relevant stakeholders on policy issues and initiatives.
Guest of Honour for this programme was Member of Parliament, R.N. Dhoot. Eminent personalities like President ASSOCHAM, Sunil Kanoria, Secretary General D. S. Rawat, Managing Director, SBI B.Shriram were present during the award function. Managing Director Cosmos Bank, Vikrant Ponkshe attended the function along with Chairman Kale.
Soon after the proud moment of receiving award Kale informed that this award was given for the social exposure Cosmos Bank has in urban banking category. Cosmos bank has strong presence in 7 states through its 140 branches with 20 lac satisfied customers. Kale said that Cosmos Bank is customer-centric and has one-to-one connect with its customers.
