Rajkot-the nerve centre of cooperative movement in the state of Gujarat hosted the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi this Monday. The occasion saw farmers holding closed door meeting with the PM.
Excited with the meeting PM Modi tweeted later ”Interacted with a delegation of farmers. Discussed various issues relating to agriculture & farmer welfare”.
The meeting was made possible at the behest of Union State Agriculture Minister Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya. His office mailed a photograph of the meeting to Indian Cooperative requesting its publication.
Later Modi also met with the local BJP leaders of the town along with the BJP chief of Rajkot, Mr Bhikhabhai Basoiya. Readers would note that Kundariya is an MP from Rajkot.
Sahakar Bharati Chief Jyotindra Mehta also belongs to Rajkot. He is also heading the Rajkot Nagrik Sahkarita Bank in which Prime Minister Modi has his savings account as earlier reported by Indian Cooperative.
