Cooperative leaders of the country are bracing up to participate in the international meet of BRICS leaders in the last week of October.
A delegation of about seven members is leaving for the Cape Town and I am one among them, informs NCCF Chairman Virendra Singh to Indian Cooperative.com.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Virendra Singh said “cooperation among cooperative leaders of BRICS nations would go a long way in instilling cooperative spirit in this region.”
Ultimately mankind’s welfare lies in the cooperative model alone, he added.
South Africa’s Dept of Trade and Industry together with South African National Apex Cooperative will host an international meet involving cooperative leaders from BRICS countries later this month in Cape Town.
The main subject of the meet will be ” partnerships for development, integration and industrialization through cooperatives”.
Rob Davies South African minister for trade and industry says the first meeting of this kind to be organized in South Africa offers the BRICS cooperative leaders the opportunity to have comprehensive practical talks on how to tap their full potential for business, cooperation and partnerships.
South Africa feels privileged because it is the host of such an important international gathering, he said.
Cape Town is going to host ICA General Assembly also in the first week of November where the election to its Board would take place.
