The cooperative sector has long played a crucial role in India’s economic development, and now more than ever, it requires collective efforts to grow stronger. This sentiment echoed through the opening day of Sahakar Bharati’s National Executive Committee Meeting, which commenced with great enthusiasm on April 5, 2025, at the Smriti Mandir, Reshimbagh, Nagpur.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a floral tribute to Bharat Mata and Sahakar Bharati’s founder, Shri Laxmanrao Inamdar. The occasion was graced by prominent dignitaries including Sahakar Bharati’s National President Dr. Uday Joshi, National General Secretary Deepak Chaurasia, Maharashtra State President Dattaramji Chalke, and State General Secretary Vivek Jugade. Also present were Sahakar Bharati’s first National President, Vasantrao, and popular MLA from Central Nagpur, Vasantrao Devpujari.
Addressing the gathering, Devpujari shared his rich experiences since the founding of Sahakar Bharati and appealed to the members and volunteers to immerse themselves in cooperative work, highlighting the immense possibilities in this sector.
MLA Praveen Datke also took the stage to commend the impactful work of Sahakar Bharati. He expressed confidence that Sahakar Bharati alone has the potential to bring about the much-needed transformation in the cooperative ecosystem. National General Secretary Deepak Chaurasia elaborated on the organization’s activities and initiatives, underscoring the progress and expansion of cooperative efforts across the country.
The session was efficiently moderated by Vivek Jugade, who ensured a smooth flow of proceedings. The gathering reflected a collective commitment by all the dignitaries present to strengthen the cooperative movement and expand its reach across the nation.
This two-day National Executive Meeting saw participation from over 250 office bearers representing 28 states across India. The event featured in-depth discussions, strategy sessions, and guidance on a variety of subjects critical to the cooperative movement.
The meeting served not just as an administrative review, but also as an inspirational gathering aimed at renewing the spirit of collective growth and economic empowerment through cooperation.
The strong turnout and high-level participation reaffirmed Sahakar Bharati’s mission to build a self-reliant India through community-driven initiatives.
