In a significant recognition, Karnataka-based Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit Society received a special mention in a tweet by the Union Ministry of Cooperation.
The ministry highlighted the society as the largest multi-state credit cooperative society in Southern India and lauded its remarkable achievement of nearing an annual turnover of Rs 7,000 crore.
The acknowledgment underscores Shri Beereshwar Cooperative’s pivotal role in fostering financial inclusion and driving cooperative development in the region.
Officials from Shri Beereshwar Cooperative expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed their dedication to advancing cooperative principles while contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
It is worth recalling that Indian Cooperative had earlier published a success story about the society, highlighting the unprecedented role of Annasaheb Jolle, an ex-MP and a prominent cooperative leader, along with co-founder Shashikala A. Jolle, MLA, in the society’s growth and achievement.
