Rajasthan State Cooperative Union organized an event at Jaipur on the occasion of 71st All India Cooperative Week, where the state cooperation minister Gautam Dak, NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani and others were present.
In his speech Dak, emphasized that cooperatives represent a model of inclusive development, transcending barriers of caste, class, color, or language and cooperatives provide opportunities for all communities based on their needs and local resources, thus promoting equality and reducing poverty, he remarked.
The minister outlined various initiatives undertaken by the state government to provide employment opportunities, low-interest loans, and platforms for marketing products for women, youth, and the weaker sections of society.
Addressing the participants, Sanghani, called for a shift in perspective regarding women and youth, emphasizing their potential if provided with opportunities.
Sanghani also mentioned the central government’s efforts to codify model bylaws for primary cooperatives, identifying over 50 areas for their operations. He highlighted a new portal enabling farmers and artisans to export their products without intermediaries.
Principal Secretary Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperatives, Smt. Manju Rajpal, reiterated the untapped potential of women and youth due to limited resources.
She emphasized the need for training in entrepreneurship, access to modern technology, and proper platforms for growth. She also noted the rapid progress in PACS computerization and Go-Live initiatives, which aim to enhance transparency and provide banking and e-Mitra services at the grassroots level.
