Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated two new branches of the Manipur State Cooperative Bank in Mayang Imphal and Moirang, aiming to enhance banking accessibility, media reports say.
Over the past five years, the bank has provided Rs 17 crore in collateral-free loans to 1,195 women self-help groups and supported state startups with Rs 15 crore.
The new branches will improve financial inclusion by offering savings accounts and loan services in these regions.
