Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the AgriSURE Scheme in New Delhi, marking a significant milestone for India’s agricultural sector. AgriSURE, a Rs 750 crore blended capital fund, aims to boost technology-driven start-ups and rural enterprises.
The fund includes Rs 250 crore contributions each from the Government of India, NABARD, and private investors. The launch event, attended by key stakeholders and officials, also featured the AgriSURE Greenathon Awards, recognizing innovative agri-tech start-ups.
Chouhan emphasized the initiative’s potential to transform agriculture, empower farmers, and drive the rural economy through enhanced production, cost reduction, and crop diversification.
