Sahakar Bharati is organizing its three-day National Convention from December 6th to 8th, 2024, in the historic city of Amritsar, Punjab. This will be Sahakar Bharati’s 8th National Convention, where names of new office bearers are likely to be announced.
The 7th National Convention took place in Lucknow in 2021, where D. N. Thakur was announced as the President. Several top leaders of the BJP and RSS attended the event, motivating the participants. Some of these included RSS’s Bhaiyyaji Joshi, BJP leader Amit Shah, Radha Mohan Singh, and Yogi Adityanath, among others.
The 8th Convention will kick off on the morning of December 6th and will conclude on Sunday, December 8th.
A key highlight of the event will be the inauguration on December 7th by RSS General Secretary Dattaji Hosabale, who will address and guide the attendees.
This National Convention is a representative event, and attendance is by invitation only. Expected attendees include members of the National Executive, provincial executive members, and an equal number of district representatives, including key figures such as the President, General Secretary, Organization Chief, and Women Chief.
A delegate fee of Rs 300 per person will be applicable.
Provincial Presidents and General Secretaries are requested to submit a list of their expected attendees to the Central Office by November 10th, 2024. Only those on the official list will be granted entry.
In the last convention, former Sarkaryavah Bhaiyyaji Joshi of the RSS said that co-ops would perish if there is no culture in them, and exhorted members to be broad-minded and cooperative with each other.
He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Sahakar Bharati, good institutions would emerge in the field of cooperatives.
Known as the “Golden City,” Amritsar is celebrated for its rich history and landmarks such as the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and its proximity to the Pakistan border. The city is also famed for its culinary delights and unique hospitality.
