Maharashtra based Latur District Central Cooperative Bank’s Chairman Dhiraj V Deshmukh met the state deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar on Tuesday at the secretariat and sought his support in the expedition process of releasing interest subvention amount to the bank pending for the past few years.
During the meeting, Deshmukh touched on several issues related to the bank, emphasizing the importance of resolving the matter of the interest subvention amount.
It is gathered that the state government is giving 2.5 percent interest subvention to the DCCBs of Maharashtra on the crop loans upto Rs 3 lakh under the Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Concession Scheme.
The amount of around Rs 29 crore of Latur District Cooperative Bank is pending under the interest subvention scheme and that of Maharashtra DCCBs is around Rs 1500 crore.
Around 120 crore is pending for the Satara District Central Cooperative Bank under the same scheme.
It is learned that the Maharashtra Government is planning to make a provision of Rs 2000 crore for releasing the funds of the DCCBs of the state.
