Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), announced the doubling of production capacity at Amul’s chocolate plant in Mogar, Gujarat, media reports say.
Initially expanded in 2018 during a visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the plant’s capacity was quickly utilized within two years. The ongoing expansion includes installing new machinery, set to complete in the coming months.
Additionally, the Mogar site features significant food processing units and deals with rising cocoa prices, which have escalated substantially over the past 25 years.
