The fertilizer cooperative IFFCO is all set to welcome its delegates on the occasion of its 53rd Annual General Meeting, which is being convened today, i.e., 30th May 2024, at NCUI Auditorium in Delhi.
Many delegates have already arrived in Delhi and a few are on their way to attend the AGM. This AGM is also historic because in the recently held election of IFFCO, a few directors made it to the board for the first time and are going to share the dais with other board members.
Though this time the delegates may experience some disruptions or inconveniences due to construction work going on at the NCUI Auditorium, IFFCO is leaving no stone unturned in making the AGM a grand success.
The NCUI headquarters is dolled up like a bride. As NCUI is situated in the heart of the capital of India, during the AGM of national federations delegates usually face parking issues. However, this time IFFCO has arranged a valet parking facility.
Meanwhile, social media has gone agog with the news of those who have bagged two of the top cooperative awards given by IFFCO every year. The awards are usually given on the occasion of the AGM.
Uttar Pradesh Cooperation Minister JPS Rathore and Kanjibhai Bhalala have been selected for IFFCO’s Sahakarita Ratan and Sahakarita Bandhu Awards respectively. Rathore hails from Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Bhalala comes from Surat, Gujarat.
A cheque of Rs 11 lakh will be presented to the winners along with a shawl and citation. As soon as the names of both winners were announced, the news spread like wildfire on social media.
It is gathered that IFFCO earned a gross profit of Rs 3000 crore and achieved the sale of 2.04 crore bottles of IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid and 44 lakh bottles of IFFCO Nano DAP Liquid during FY 2023-24.
IFFCO cumulatively produced 8.53 crore bottles of Nano Urea, equivalent to 38.4 lakh MT of conventional Urea, and 96 lakh bottles of Nano DAP, equivalent to 4.80 lakh MT of conventional DAP.
